Revealed: The exciting line up for this year’s Annual Conference

by Jamie Radford

We are delighted to announce that the inspirational Claire Lomas MBE will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Annual Conference and Expo, which is taking place at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre on Monday 15 October.

Claire was working as a Chiropractor and was a successful event rider when a freak accident left her paralysed from the chest down. She made headlines around the world in 2012 when she walked the London Marathon in a pioneering robotic suit. The challenge took her 17 days, but it demonstrated her determination, her belief and an innate trust in technology.

As the headline speaker at this year’s conference, Claire is sure to inspire our delegates as we explore topics relating to automation, AI and how we can embrace technology and change.

Joining Claire on the main stage this year will be a wealth of inspirational AP professionals including Karen Young (Hays Accountancy and Finance), Kelly Hardy (Royal Mail), John Wallace (Documation) and Samantha Ryan (Virgin Media).

If you’ve previously read Samantha’s guest article, then we’re sure you’ll agree her speech will definitely be a highlight of the day.

But that’s not all!

Throughout the day, delegates will also have opportunities to hear from companies including our Premium partners Konica Minolta and Documation Software, as well as attend workshops and seminars covering key topics such as Duty to report on payment practices, GDPR & Data Security, LEAN processes and The future of P2P.

There will also be ample opportunities for delegates to speak face to face with leading suppliers in the fields of software, recruitment and more thanks to our vendor expo.

Confirmed exhibitors who will be meeting and greeting delegates as well as providing details of their wares include Konica Minolta, Documation, Hays Recruitment, Capita, Dajon Data, Nivo 1, Cambridge Global Solutions, Easy Software, Elite DS, Kefron and Web Expenses.

If that’s not enough of an action-packed day for you, the conference will conclude with the presentation of the annual awards which will shine a light on those hard-working professionals who have made a real impact upon their business over the last 12 months.

If you haven’t yet booked your ticket, what are you waiting for?

Entry to the conference is strictly by ticket-only, and we would advise early booking to ensure you don’t miss out.

Tickets cost just £50 and can be purchased online.

As the conference draws nearer, we’ll be sharing more details, so stay tuned to our website and social media channels for the latest APA Conference news and updates.
